Featuring the work of local and international creatives. As per the exhibition title, for some talented artists it was their first appearance from ‘behind the scene’.
Metis Welcome
Local Metis woman Coralee Salomon (above) gave a heartfelt opening speech, acknowledging the importance of art through culture.
Diverse Practice
Including a range of styles in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics and jewellery.
Life Drawing
Dynamic life drawings from the local class series facilitated by Anna Weston.
Fundraising
Local businesses made generous donations to make this event happen. A percentage of profits from artwork sold went back into the local community. Work exhibited by Anna Weston (above).

Community is the heart of a small town. Fernie, BC is no exception with hundreds of locals attending the show during the evening.
